Khonkorn wins again

Khonkorn Kiatphontip scored another strong win at Ratchadamnern stadium on the 1st of March, beating Farboonmee Birdrangsit on points, on Onesongchai promotions show.

Farboonmee is an aggressive hard puncher that fights out of the legend Sangtiennoi Sor Rungrot’s gym and was given a 2 pound weight advantage for this fight, weighing in at 108 pounds to Khonkorn’s 106. Khonkorn never looked intimidated though as he soaked up Farboonmee’s aggresive attacks and in the third round Khonkorn connected with afast high kick, dropping Farboonmee for an 8 count. Konkorn controlled the fight for the remaining two rounds to take a clear points win.

Khonkorn next fight training Next up for Kiatphontip’s rising star Khonkorn is a step up in class on a huge Onesongchai promotions show on the 14th of September. Khonkorn faces Rengsaknoi Sitniwat, who comes into the fight with a wealth of experience with several wins over Ginsanglek Tor Laksong in the past and victories over other top fighters such as Tawanchai PKSaenchaimuaythai gym. The fight comes with the added incentive of a 400,000 baht side bet riding on the outcome. This will be a chance for Khonkorn to further enhance his growning reputation as one of the best young fighters coming through at the moment. The show features many big names with Sangmanee Sor Tienpho facing Thanonchai Thanakon gym in the main event and also has a dream match up between Panpayak Jitmuangnon and Superbank Mor Ratonabandit.

Khonkorn keeps impressing

Khonkorn Kiatphontip continued to impress the Muaythai fans with a decisive win over Darpthong Phumpanmuang, on Onesongchai promotions show on the 4th of August at Ratchadamnern stadium. Since he has made his debut on Onesongchai promotions Khonkorn has continued to impress the Thai fight fans with his performances. Many  are tipping him as a future star, with none other than Songhai Ratanasuban likening him to a young Samart Payakaroon. Before the fight many of the pundits predicted Darpthong would be too strong and experienced for Khonkorn, but the young Nakhon Sri Thammarat native proved them wrong with a decisive points win.
